What is Microblading?
Microblading is an advanced form of semi-permanent makeup designed to enhance the appearance of the eyebrows using precise, hair-like strokes. At The De Peyer Clinic in Durley, near Southampton, this treatment is performed using a handheld device fitted with ultra-fine needles, which carefully deposit pigment into the upper layers of the skin.
This technique allows for the creation of individual strokes that closely replicate the look of natural eyebrow hairs, resulting in a soft, realistic and highly defined finish. Unlike traditional eyebrow tattooing, which often uses a machine and penetrates deeper into the skin, microblading is more superficial. This gives a more natural appearance and allows the pigment to fade gradually over time.
Each microblading treatment is fully bespoke. The shape, thickness and definition of the brows are carefully designed based on your facial structure, bone symmetry and natural brow growth. Factors such as skin tone, undertone and hair colour are also considered when selecting pigment, ensuring the final result appears balanced and harmonious.

What To Expect At Your Appointment?
Longevity: Results typically last 12–18 months, depending on your skin type and lifestyle.
Consultation: We begin with a detailed consultation to discuss your goals, assess your natural brow shape, and choose the perfect pigment shade.
Treatment: The microblading process takes 1 hour a session. A topical numbing cream is applied for comfort.
Aftercare: Full aftercare instructions will be provided. A top-up appointment is recommended 4–6 weeks after the initial treatment.
Is Microblading Right for You?
Microblading is suitable for most clients but may not be recommended if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain skin conditions. A patch test is required 48 hours before your appointment.
